It is characterized by its focus on the search for inner truth, connection with the divine and the development of a higher consciousness.
Eastern spirituality is based on the fundamental idea that there is a deeper, transcendental reality beyond the material. These traditions value the direct and personal experience of divinity or universal consciousness, and seek to achieve a state of enlightenment, liberation or spiritual awakening.

One of the most important practices in Eastern spirituality is meditation. Through meditation, one seeks to quiet the mind and allow a deeper connection with the inner self and the universe. Meditation can take different forms and techniques, such as mindfulness, concentration on an object or mantra, or contemplation of nature.
